Hillsboro - Ralph Crumley, 81, a life resident of the Hillsboro community, died Tuesday morning in a Covington nursing home. Born near Hillsboro, Mr. Crumley was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Crumley. He married Edith McKnight who preceded him in death several years ago. He was a farmer most of his life. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Smith of Attica, and three grandchildren. Another daughter, Mrs. Lena Short, died recently in Hawaii. The body was taken to the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Arrangements for the services are incomplete. Hillsboro - Funeral services for Ralph Crumley, 81, who died Tuesday, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Congregational Christian Church in Mellott. The pastor, Rev. R. H. Peters, will officiate and interment will be in Union Cemetery west of Newtown. The body will lie in state at the church an hour preceding the services. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Mellott - Funeral services were held Friday for Ralph Crumley, 81, at the Mellott Congregational Christian Church. Officiating was the pastor, Rev. R.H. Peters. David Ziegler sang "Beyond the Sunset" and Mrs. Lowell Linville played appropriate organ music. Pallbearers were Eddie Beasley, Thomas Stucker, Ward Crumley, Johnny Mellott, Sam Beasley and Don Ziegler. Burial was in the Union Cemetery northwest of Mellott. Mr. Crumley, a lifelong resident of the Mellott community, died at a nursing home in Covington Dec. 23.
